Starting some cleanup on the 280

For now, I think I’m going to do some cleanup on the car, some minor, some a little more involved.  I’ll post pics and update as I go along.

I removed the door panel to check whats wrong with the door lock. but then I was kinda shocked to see the interior of the door in near perfect condition.

This is the very start of the removal of the jute from the carpet in the interior.   This is a BIG job!  It’s so difficult to get that off cause it’s like tar underneath.

I hear dry ice helps make it brittle so it can just break off.  I might be trying that.

This is the driver side “carpet moulding” as it says…. lol.  Someone had this off at one point and wanted to make sure they put it back on correctly.

Cleaned up the heat shield and the light housing.

And the bracket holding the ignition coil.

I also painted the charcoal canister bracket black (it was that weird blue color), but didn’t take any pics of it.
